In Southern Crete, in the crystal clear waters of the Libyan Sea, there is truly incredible marine life.

For many years, professional divers have organized trips in this area of the Mediterranean Sea.

Kalypso Rock's Palace Dive Center operates legally and has business license and insurance required by law. Situated at Karavos beach in South Crete, a natural park surrounded by hanging rocks making it a private secluded bay in the Central Mediterranean, it is ideal for underwater activities when the weather is fine. The facilities of Kalypso Cretan Village 4* Resort and Spa meet the diver’s needs.

In the nearby area of Kalypso, the coastal holiday resort of Plakias (south of Rethymnon) provides high-standards of service to all guests. Water sport activities have become popular and experienced divers are always impressed by the underwater world of South Crete.

Kalypso Rock's Palace Dive Center has developed a Discover Scuba diving/Snorkeling Programme. We offer experienced divers various dive tours and we organise boat trips (by fully-equipped boat with diving license) to explore the Libyan Sea, the bottom of the sea, the caves, the rich diversity of fauna and flora.

The diving courses are followed by guided dive trips to the fjords.

Divers get a certificate of attendance and underwater photos taken from a professional photographer.
